  • Content - Teaching, problem-solving, review
  • Practice - Active application
  • Closing - Summary, next steps, assignments

Delivering Advising

Document Revisions

  1. Student submits document
  2. You review and annotate
  3. Provide constructive feedback
  4. Mark revision complete
  5. Discuss in follow-up session

Advising Sessions

  • Address their questions and concerns
  • Share knowledge and recommendations
  • Give clear action items

Logging Sessions

After each session:

  1. Navigate to the relationship
  2. Click "Log Session"
  3. Enter date, duration, and notes
  4. Submit

Log promptly—same day is ideal.

Good Session Notes

Include:

  • Topics covered
  • Progress made
  • Areas for follow-up
  • Any concerns

Communication

  • Be responsive to messages
  • Confirm sessions in advance
  • Communicate schedule changes early

Completing a Relationship

When services conclude:
