What You Can Do
As a Matchpal client, you can:
- Complete your profile - Provide information for better matching
- Submit intake questionnaires - Tell us what you need
- Get matched with providers - Receive recommended tutors and advisors
- Work with your providers - Conduct sessions and submit revisions
- Track your progress - View session history and grant balance
- Communicate - Stay in touch with your matched providers
Your Dashboard
When you log in, your dashboard shows:
- Current Providers - Your active matches and their contact info
- Upcoming Sessions - Any scheduled meetings
- Grant Balance - Hours or sessions remaining
- Recent Activity - Latest updates and communications
Getting Started
New to Matchpal? Here's the typical flow:
1. Purchase a Package
Before using Matchpal, you'll need to purchase a service package:
- Visit the Matchpal shop
- Choose tutoring, advising, or combined package
- Complete your purchase
- Your account will be credited automatically
2. Complete Onboarding
Set up your profile and tell us what you need:
- Fill in your basic information
- Complete the intake questionnaire
- Specify your goals and preferences

3. Get Matched
The system finds providers for you:

Your Relationships
A "relationship" in Matchpal is your connection with a provider:
- You can have multiple relationships (different providers or services)
- Each relationship has its own hour allocation
- Track sessions and progress per relationship
Relationships go through stages:
- Proposed - You've been matched, waiting for provider
- Paired - Active, you can work together
- Completed - Services finished
Communication
Stay connected:
- Email notifications - Updates about matches and sessions
- Provider contact - Direct communication with your providers
- Support - Reach out if you need help
Common Questions
How do I get matched?
After completing your intake questionnaire, the matching algorithm finds providers who match your needs. You'll be notified when a provider is found.
Can I choose my provider?
You can indicate a preferred provider in your intake questionnaire. The system will prioritize them if they're available and qualified.
What if I don't like my match?
Contact support or your administrator. They can help facilitate a change if your match isn't working out.
How do I know my balance?
Your dashboard shows your current grant balance. You can also see detailed usage in your profile.
What happens when I run out of hours?
You'll need to purchase an additional package to continue services. You'll receive notifications when your balance is running low.
